"When I engage in photography, I feel as if I am in my own world. It is in fact a great feeling which I cannot compare to anything else out there. There is no way of knowing where your path will take you. Regardless of where you end up, you should never let the memories that led to that point slip away.
Capture your life's wonderful memories, experiences, and journeys through the lens to rejuvenate and lock your warmly loved aspirations and emotions in your heart forever. Everyone has a great sense of memory and pictures in which they took with their minds, but not everybody has a camera to capture these moments forever." Liron.
Before I begin photographing, I always engage in setting my mind to the customers needs in order to see exactly how the overall appearance will turn out. Meaning if the customer does not like the outlook of the shoot itself, then re-adjustments will take place for better results. As I photograph, I will experiment and encounter a variety of different shoots as well as capture the subjects from multiple perspectives and standings with different light settings and themes. I will often return to a subject several times until I am satisfied with the results.
My goal in photographing a subject is to capture both the nature of the subject and my personal point of view. I am not trying to solely document the scene, but rather permanently record the particular aspect or quality of the subject that I find interesting.
I was born and raised in the country of Israel as well as Texas for a majority of my life. I earned my degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. While studying Architecture and dynamics of the 3D design, I took a few photography classes which regained my interests in 2D perspective photographs. At the time, I liked to capture photographs of nature which led me to appreciate everything that surrounds us. However, my initial interest in photography quickly escalated in 2003 while working in an architectural firm, I decided that I would be truly happy wandering around with my camera snapping pictures of all the natural beauty around us. A few years later I set forth to accomplish my dreams and moved to New York City where I opened Verona's Photography.
I learned to photograph using film, and primarily started to shoot transparencies. I loved the vivid color of slides on a light box and there was nothing more exciting than getting my boxes of slides back from the development lab. However, digital cameras have improved tremendously in recent years and offered many advantages over film both in terms of quality and in the ease of reproduction and distribution.
Pictures of nature makes me appreciate the beauty of the world we live in. Pictures of art make me focus on objects that our eyes will not see if we don't try hard to see the geometric and biomorphic shapes of them, and pictures of people are interesting on a level that you can capture emotions, memory and power.
